The solution? Create some Twitter lists for yourself.
A Twitter list is simply a list of Tweeters who are significant to you and whom you place together into a personal list. This allows you to view the Tweets only from those Tweeters you’ve put on each of your lists.
You can create lists around a variety of categories. For example, you could have a Twitter list consisting only of your clients or your members. This is an excellent way to keep up with their activities, follow up as appropriate, reTweet their messages to give them extra visibility, or send them direct messages in response to a great post. They’ll LOVE you for that!
You might want a Twitter list of all your employees, or your competitors, or those in your networking group. It’s a smart idea to have a Twitter list of people you want to learn from – your mentors. How about a Twitter list of your prospects? I’ll bet they’d be impressed by your knowledge of their business when it’s time to close the deal.
This is how you organize and streamline your Twitter experience and drink from that firehose.
